Bernita Sims White

On June 23, 2001, Bernita White was executed by a sniper's shot through her heart while walking in Potter Park Zoo alongside her then 5 yr old daughter.

Almost 13 years later,  Bernita's murder remains unsolved. Michigan State Trooper Artis White - Bernita's estranged husband -  has always been considered a "person of interest" in her murder.

Perhaps one of the most unusual twists in Bernita's case is that the story teller of her life and her death up to this point has been the suspect / her estranged husband: Trooper Artis White.
